Islanders – Enjoy the celebrations and be safe!

High school milestones and special events such as Homecoming, Prom and Graduation are an exciting time and a well-deserved opportunity to celebrate!

Although MOST Island teens do not use alcohol, cannabis, or prescription medication that is not their own, celebrations can create an opportunity for risk-taking behaviors when emotions are high.

Here are some resources to keep you and your friends safe:

Washington Good Samaritan Law

The Good Samaritan Law allows you to call for help without legal consequences for underage drinking or drug use.

If you or a friend needs medical help for an alcohol or other drug related emergency call 911 immediately – don’t wait!

Crisis Hotlines

Dealing with a mental health crisis? You’re not alone.

Call the Crisis and Suicide Lifeline at 988 or call/text WA Teen Link at 1-866-TEENLINK (833-6546).
